LEGACY OF THE GREATEST AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE
Like all the pianos in the Steinway & Sons Family, Boston was created with the goal of creating the best piano within your price range and quality.
Gathering more than a century of experience, in 1989 Steinway & Sons launched the creation of the Boston brand, using and adapting patents, concepts and materials, as well as the firm’s strict quality controls.
Special attention was paid to the materials used and the good craftsmanship always associated with the Steinway name: quality woods, unique hammers in their shape, bars, bridges, soundboard, optimizing a piano of indisputable quality.
The Boston duplex scale, an adaptation of the famous Steinway & Sons design, adds unsurpassed harmonic richness.
Compared to other pianos in its range, Boston offers less tension on the strings. This fact allows a wider soundboard and lowered to one side, providing greater durability in the life of the piano.
The larger surface of the soundboard made of solid Sitka spruce, with its innovative “wide tail” design, makes the different models of the Boston brand, equivalent to the longest models of any other piano in its range. So, for example, a 178 cm long Boston has the same soundboard surface as a piano in its 188 cm range.
Boston upright pianos offer the same standards of excellence that characterize instruments designed by Steinway & Sons, with an emphasis on their unique patents.
