Unlike other Japanese brands such as Yamaha, Kawai is specialized and exclusively manufactures pianos, be they acoustic or digital pianos. Its specialization is undoubtedly an unquestionable guarantee, defining the philosophy of “Made in Japan” manufacturing.
The instruments manufactured by Kawai are defined by the lightness of the pulsation, a rich and lively sound with great quality of harmonics and a unique capacity for expressiveness. His insistent research has led to his own unique technology, with the Millennium III mechanisms in the GX series. These mechanisms combine ABS resin with carbon fiber. This last component is shared by the upright pianos causing all models to have experienced an increase in keyboard sensitivity.
