Adjustment and inspection of pedals, elimination of friction, and correction of minor anomalies.

We finish with a general inspection of the mechanical and functional state of the piano, within the scope of a maintenance intervention. If we detect a major issue, we will explain it to you and provide a quote.

We are the official technical service for ESMUC and many of the finest conservatories and concert halls. We have tuned for Alicia de Larrocha, Arthur Rubinstein, Lang Lang, Yuja Wang, and Evgeny Kissin. And we perform the same meticulous tuning on a home piano as we do on a concert grand.

IN-HOUSE TECHNICIANS

OUR OWN SCHOOL, STEINWAY TRAINING

We provide home tuning service in Barcelona and its metropolitan area, and we travel throughout Catalonia. We also reach Andorra and the Balearic Islands. Our tuners are in-house technicians, trained in our own school and directly by Steinway, with the craft passed down from generation to generation since 1853. We do not subcontract.

A good tuning technician is just as necessary for a high-end piano as for a modest one: the woods in a domestic piano are often more sensitive, and a poor adjustment can be costly.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU TUNE?

RECOMMENDED FREQUENCY

A piano for home use should be tuned once or twice a year; a concert or studio piano, more frequently. If it has not been tuned for a long time, it may need more than one pass to bring it back to pitch. We assess this during the first visit.

The company Jorquera Pianos was established in 1853 by Ginés Jorquera. Nowadays is managed by Helena Jorquera who represents the fourth generation in front of the business and with the recent incorporation of the fifth generation, Óscar Ramón-Jorquera.
